Benjamin Lavin is an associate in the Trusts & Estate's Practice Group, where he focuses on tax and wealth planning for individuals, families and privately held businesses. More specifically, his practice focuses on enabling clients to meet their planning goals in the most tax-efficient way possible. Ben most enjoys working with trusts and estates clients because he gets the opportunity to creatively help his clients prepare for their futures and the futures of their families for generations to come.

Ben earned his bachelor's degree cum laude from American University in 2010. He received his law degree cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2013 and an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 2014. Prior to joining LP, Ben was Associate Tax Counsel at the Northern Trust Company in Chicago, where he assisted high net worth clients with tax and wealth planning issues.
