Sun Pae is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group where she helps clients establish and protect their intellectual property rights in the United States and abroad.

Drawing upon her previous engineering experiences, Sun recognizes  the challenges and opportunities in the research, development and manufacturing processes.  In the past, she has lead research and development teams in commercializing technologies and has also worked as a process engineer, focusing on coating and plastic manufacturing processes.  Through her working knowledge of information technology, more specifically in the areas of data center operations and e-commerce architectures, and serving on an internal audit team for the International Standards Organization (ISO), Sun gained unique insight into understanding the practical implications and the challenges facing her clients.

More recently, Sun has assisted clients with patent drafting, prosecution, and patentability, right-to-use, and validity opinions in the areas of medical device, adhesives and labels, chemiluminescent compositions, sterilization systems and indicators, internet and security, confectionery manufacturing, nanofibers, and filtration.

Sun is fluent in Korean and serves Korean and other international clients.
