Trusts & Estates Partner Lauren Wolven will be a presenter on Thursday, January 17th on topic, “Greasing the Squeaky Wheel: Methods for Managing Difficult Beneficiaries.” This presentation will address techniques for working with beneficiaries who face mental health or substance abuse challenges, autism spectrum and other executive functioning disorders.
Lauren Wolven will also be a presenter on Friday, January 18th on topic, “Living in a Statistical Universe: Embracing the Art and Ethics of the Engagement Letter.” Engagement letters are a part of life for most estate planning attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors. Even trust and estate professionals within financial institutions need to establish an initial connection and rules for beneficiaries. This session will cover recent case law discussing engagement letters, ethics, best practices and tips for mastering the art of the engagement letter.
