Etahn is Of Counsel in LP’s Corporate Group. He focuses on representing clients in corporate, securities, technology, and financing matters. His clients include entrepreneurs, key employees, closely-held and middle-market businesses, investors, borrowers and lenders in a wide range of corporate matters. He also acts as outside general counsel for many of his clients.
Representing clients from a variety of industries, Etahn handles business formation and structure matters; mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; financing transactions; and commercial transactions and negotiations. He has significant experience guiding clients through the purchase and sale of distressed assets, as well as representing troubled companies and receivers in complex liquidations, workouts, and reorganizations. Etahn also advises businesses on limited liability agreements, information technology and cyber law matters, and IP matters, such as IP ownership, trademarks, privacy, and licensing.
Etahn is an author of publications related to corporate and finance matters. He is also Chair of the Board of Directors of the Eli & Bessie Cohn Camps. Etahn earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago, cum laude and Order of the Coif, his Ph.D. from Harvard University, and his B.A. from Yale University, cum laude. Prior to joining LP, Etahn was a partner with Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Helsinger LLP.
