Jim DeOre is LP’s Director of Information Technology. He focuses on leveraging information technology to create an unsurpassed client experience.
With over 25 years of experience in project management, information security, infrastructure, and IT operations, Jim is an enthusiastic and collaborative leader who excels at coordinating among vendors, LP attorneys and professionals, and other key stakeholders. He is integrally involved in implementing technology changes to meet the needs of a modern and mobile law firm.
Jim previously managed the IT transition involved with the firm’s move into a new state-of-the-art office in 2023. Among other projects, Jim oversaw the installation of the latest conferencing technology in client meeting rooms and a robust reservation system to maximize collaboration and efficiency.

What was the first album you ever bought?
When I was very young, I saved up my allowance for months and used a pocket full of quarters to buy the 1982 Pac-Man Fever album by Buckner & Garcia. I played it constantly, driving my parents crazy.What is the most interesting part of your job?
In the world of IT, no two days are the same. No two hours are the same. One minute we are helping employees format Word documents, the next solving a network outage. Sometimes doing both at the same time. IT keeps me interested and always on my toes.What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
